Description

Overview
The PV-A series are compressed-air actuated Planeveyor lifters using one piston unit (or concatenated units) with a built-in air cylinder. They lift the workpiece from the table and enable 360° free-direction movement by supporting the workpiece on spherical balls. Units support upward and downward adjustment and can be used singly or connected in series for longer lengths and distributed load.

Single · Concatenated use type
  • Single use: individual piston unit models (examples: PV50A, PV120A).
  • Concatenated use: multiple units connected to increase length, number of balls and load distribution.

Types and usage
Planeveyor lifters provide labor-saving, free-direction positioning by lifting workpieces with the built-in cylinder. Mounting interfaces include square-groove and T-groove types to match machine tables and fixtures. Connection-type configurations permit flexible installation positions.
  • Square groove: choose from a broad lineup according to workpiece size and weight.
  • T groove: compatible with existing T-slots (e.g., press machines).
  • Single/Concatenated: lowered workpieces can rest on the lifter body; concatenated units enable handling of larger workpieces.

Operation notes / Recommended circuit
Use compressed air to raise the balls (lift); release air to allow the workpiece to descend by gravity. Lowering is performed by venting the cylinder via a three-way valve; forced lowering requires a vacuum generator. Design the pneumatic circuit to provide required lift, controlled descent and any forced lowering functions.

Representative PV-A models (selected data)
Examples (selected): PV50A — 1 piston; supplied air 0.4–0.6 MPa; upward force approx. 608N (0.4MPa) to 921N (0.6MPa); weight 375 g; main ball SUJ2; support cup SCM415; body Al; use: upward/downward. PV120A — 1 piston; upward force approx. 1205N (0.4MPa) to 1754N (0.6MPa); weight 912 g; materials as above.

PVL-T (T-groove type) — representative data
Examples: PVL13T-● — 1 piston; upward force ~137N (0.4MPa) / 176N (0.5MPa) / 216N (0.6MPa); main ball SUJ2; support cup SCM415; body Al; use upward/downward. PVL20T-● — 1 piston; upward force ~176N / 225N / 274N (0.4/0.5/0.6MPa). PVL series provides variable lengths and ball counts to determine load per ball.

PVDL (Hydraulic actuated Planeveyor lifter) — summary
PVDL combines hydraulic push-up force with Planeveyor free-direction positioning. Typical specs (example PVDL50) include withstand pressure, upward force at specified oil pressures, small lift stroke (example ~3 mm), oil quantities and recommended oil (e.g., ISO VG32). Configurations available in full-length and multi-unit arrangements.

Other product variants and notable features
  • PVLR roller-lifter variant for roller-based movement while retaining Planeveyor positioning.
  • Variants: square groove, T groove, spring cushion, dust-discharge, cleanroom-compatible, and custom-length options.
  • Materials: main balls SUJ2, support cup SCM415, typical body Al; steel, stainless and resin options available for specific models.

Drawings / CAD
3D-CAD and PDF drawing files are available per model; model-specific CAD/PDFs can be provided on request.

Characteristics / technical specifications
  • Operating medium: compressed air (PV-A, PVL series) or hydraulic oil (PVDL series).
  • Recommended air pressure (PV-A / PVL): 0.4–0.6 MPa; typical withstand pressure ~0.9 MPa for pneumatic types.
  • Upward force: model dependent (examples: PV50A up to ~921N at 0.6 MPa; PV120A up to ~1754N at 0.6 MPa).
  • Main ball material: SUJ2; support cup: SCM415; typical body material: Aluminum.
  • Lifting method: piston-actuated ball rise to support workpiece enabling 360° free-direction movement while lifted.
  • PVL: T-groove mounting and customizable lengths; optional handles and special lengths available.
  • PVDL hydraulic: higher push-up forces with limited stroke (example PVDL50 ~3 mm); oil type and pressure limits specified per model; typical temperature range examples provided in model data.
  • Configurations: single, concatenated, roller lifter, dust-discharge and cleanroom variants to suit application requirements.
