About Free Guide Unit
The Free Guide Unit is a mechanical alignment unit that automatically compensates position errors during press-fitting operations. It is suitable for press forces up to 10 tons and eliminates centering issues when assembling shafts, bearings, bushings and similar components with hydraulic servo presses and comparable equipment. An option with an integral load cell is available to record pass/fail results.

Notes

• *1: The load on the top plate begins to compress in the vertical direction.
• *2: The load on the top plate is seated on the main body.
• *3: Center of gravity shifts during pressurization. Use the FGU so that the center of gravity of the workpiece under pressurization remains within the specified range.
• *4: Maximum total weight of the press-fit tool and workpieces (excluding FGU body).

Features

• Magnetic-force-dependent behavior may limit suitability for some environments.
• Operate the top plate within the specified horizontal stroke and rotation angle to avoid damage.
• Use without lubrication is recommended.
• Catalog examples are indicative; custom variants can be proposed based on application.
