S7 for Windows® Update from V1–V5 to V7. The update from V6 to V7 is available free of charge. S7 for Windows® enables efficient programming of Siemens PLC series S7-300 and S7-400 with full support for STL (Statement List), SFC (Function Block Diagram) and LAD (Ladder Diagram). All online functions are supported and the new operational concept in Version 7 improves navigation and workspace management.

Features and capabilities
S7 for Windows® can run standalone or combined with S5 for Windows®. Status operation is available in STL, SFC and LAD. Variable views and symbolic tables are integrated into the status window. All PLC-capable interfaces are shown in the online view. STEP7 projects can be edited directly without import/export and archived STEP7 projects can be opened natively. Write access to the PLC can be protected by password. Signal traceability and cross-referencing across complete I/O modules and module diagnostics are supported. Print preview and operand forcing are implemented. S5-to-S7 conversion has been optimized. Saving complete S7 projects to a memory card is possible depending on CPU.

Hardware configuration
Module parameterization, address allocation and PROFIBUS configuration are supported. A dedicated dialog presents module parameter changes clearly before saving. The hardware catalogue contains Siemens PROFIBUS components and compatible third-party components and can be extended with GSD files. Hardware configuration of existing STEP7 projects can be read/edited offline or read/edited from a PLC. Module diagnostic functions are integrated and the hardware catalogue is regularly updated via internet.

ATTENTION: A valid serial number (format S7W-xxxxxx-xxxx) is required for each update. A serial number can be updated only once. The update from V6 to V7 is free of charge.
