Description

UV TESTING CHAMBER USAGE
LFZ-UV-B is designed for accelerated light and water exposure aging tests to evaluate the relative durability of non-metallic materials such as paints, coatings and plastics. It reproduces UV exposure, temperature and spray cycles for comparative laboratory testing.

APPLICATION — FOOD / PHARMACEUTICAL
Meets ICH Q1B light stability testing requirements for drug substances and finished products. The near‑UV fluorescent lamps cover 320–400 nm with peak emission at 350–370 nm. Typical test exposure: cold white light ≥ 1.2 × 10^6 Lux·hr and near‑UV energy ≥ 200 W·hr for direct comparison of stability.

APPLICATION — COSMETICS
Suitable for UV isolation validation and accelerated anti‑aging screening of cosmetic formulations. The chamber enables fast comparative evaluation to support formulation development and quality control. Simple operation and maintenance reduce laboratory workload.

UV TESTING CHAMBER FEATURES
  • Inner liner in SUS304 stainless steel; outer casing in cold‑rolled steel with sprayed finish
  • 4.3‑inch touchscreen controller with menu‑based interface for intuitive operation
  • Set and display irradiance, temperature, humidity and spray/rain cycles
  • Uses multiple 20W fluorescent UVA lamps; stable spectral distribution with lamp life up to 5000 hours
  • 3‑hole sample spray device for uniform sample wetting
  • Manual adjustment of irradiance via external UV radiometer option
  • Automatic control of blackboard temperature according to test setpoints to reproduce light/spray/temperature cycles
  • Equipped with standard 70×150 mm sample holders to permit multi‑directional testing of shaped samples
  • Results provide comparative accelerated data and do not replace natural exposure tests for actual field endurance
  • Widely used worldwide for UV aging due to fast, convenient and economical operation
  • Cost‑effective benchtop model suitable for laboratories with limited budget
