Force sensor for high forces in a compact design
The KT803 series is designed for rated forces of 2 kN and 5 kN. The nickel-plated steel measuring body operates according to the bending beam principle and uses a full-bridge Wheatstone strain gauge circuit to measure tensile and compressive forces precisely.
While the sensor is mounted to a rigid structure using two screws, the force is applied via an M8 threaded hole. This prevents mounting forces from influencing the measurement and ensures clean force introduction.
The integrated digital amplifier electronics provide directly usable output signals (0–10 V or 4–20 mA).
Thanks to its robust steel construction, the KT803 is suitable for industrial applications where high forces must be measured reliably. Typical applications include joining and assembly processes, test benches and monitoring mechanical movements in machines.
Options
Rated force: 2 kN or 5 kN
Output signals: 0–10 V or 4–20 mA
Force direction: tension or compression
For series production, additional customer-specific adaptations are possible, such as modified hole diameters for mounting and force introduction, or pre-assembled cables and connectors.
