Product Overview Rulon® 1337 is a tan PTFE-based material composed entirely of FDA- and USDA-compliant components. It provides excellent physical properties and broad chemical compatibility (except concentrated sulfuric acid), making it suitable for wash-down environments in food and pharmaceutical processing. It has a slightly lower coefficient of friction than Rulon® J, resulting in extended service life and reduced abrasion against softer mating surfaces. Compatible with most commercially available natural lubricants for additional friction reduction.
Key Benefits - FDA and USDA compliant formulation for food and pharmaceutical wash-down environments
- Lower coefficient of friction vs Rulon® J for extended life and reduced abrasion on softer surfaces
- Compatible with most commercially available natural lubricants to further lower friction
- Chemically compatible with the majority of chemicals (except concentrated sulfuric acid)
- Good dimensional stability and minimal moisture absorption; suitable for wet, dry and vacuum conditions
Applications - Pumps
- Mixers
- Compressors
- Appliances
- Chute liners
- Insulators
- Linear slides
- Shaft bearings
- Seals
- Wear bands
