OverviewRulon® 1439 is a white, PTFE-based engineered fluoropolymer designed for bearing and sliding surface applications. It is FDA and USDA compliant and formulated for submerged/immersed service, offering improved wear characteristics versus many other PTFE compounds. The white color is suited to food and pharmaceutical contact environments. The material resists many harsh chemicals and is compatible with most commercially available lubricants to further reduce friction.
Performance & Features- Low friction: coefficient 0.15–0.25
- Maximum PV (dry/lubricated): 0.35 MPa·m/s
- Effective as bearings and sliding surfaces
- Compatible with most commercial lubricants
- Chemical resistance suitable for many industrial fluids
Service Benefits- Superior dry friction performance
- Reduced stick/slip behavior
- Lower hardware abrasion
- Minimal moisture absorption
- Dimensional stability across a wide range of chemicals
Typical Offerings & ApplicationsAvailable product forms include molded bearings and components, sleeves, flanged and thrust bearings, stamped and formed seals, extruded shapes, machined parts, and molded shapes. Typical applications: compressors, appliances, pillow blocks, linear slides, fluid transfer systems, vacuum pumps, valves, and food processing equipment. Suitable for FDA-compliant environments and for use in steam, wet, dry and vacuum conditions.
