Description

QA Quantometers use the rotation of an axial turbine to quantify the flow of gas through the pipeline; the number of rotations of the wheel is proportional to the volume of gas. This volume is recorded by a mechanical totalizer. Thanks to self-lubricating bearings, the meter operates without the need for regular maintenance. Quantometers are used to measure gas consumption in boilers, water heaters, furnaces and other large consumers within industrial or commercial facilities. By knowing consumption data accurately, production and heating processes can be controlled more accurately, greatly improving overall energy efficiency. In addition, data from quantometers are used for internal cost allocation among different cost centers. To ensure proper meter operation and ensure performance from data sheet, it is recommended to ensure a straight section of the pipeline upstream and downstream of the meter of 3 and 2 times the nominal diameter, respectively. If particles, such as rust, are expected in the gas flow, a filter should be installed upstream of the meter to ensure long meter life. Meters can be installed either horizontally or vertically. In addition, QA quantometers are equipped with a 7-digit mechanical register for displaying the measurement directly on the line and two pulse launchers, one in low frequency for counting the total volume and one in high frequency that can be exploited for calculating the instantaneous flow rate. Product features Detection type - Continuous measurement Measurement type - With contact Flow direction - Unidirectional Details of the signal inputs and outputs All signal outputs available - Pulses, NAMUR Signal Output Type - Pulse/frequency
