Description

The Internal Freewheels of the FXN series transmits torque via press fit on the outer ring, allowing compact installation, ideal in confined areas. These units are sprag freewheels equipped with sprag lift-off X and no bearing support. The sprag lift-off X servers to enable freewheeling operation without wear, when the inner ring rotates at high speed. They are often used as backstops and overrunning clutches in applications that require high speed freewheeling operation or low speed driving operation, when used as an overrunning clutch. These units feature bores of up to 130 mm with nominal torque of up to 20 500 Nm. Additionally, a wide selection of standard bores is available.
