OverviewMobile turnkey test system for soldering irons and soldering stations, designed for in-line or flexible production use.
IndustryElectrical / electronics industry
TaskSoldering irons and stations with several hundred watts of power are increasingly complex. To ensure consistent safety and functional quality after production, each device must be tested. The customer manufactures many different product variants, so a highly flexible contacting solution and integrated power supply from the test system are required.
SolutionThe turnkey system comprises test electronics, PC with configurable software and a DUT fixture. A mobile test table provides flexibility for production environments.
- Pneumatic contacting unit plus contact plate allow contacting of diverse DUTs without system modification.
- Two‑hand safety operation triggers the automatic high-voltage test sequence.
- The freely programmable compact tester KT 1886 executes safety and function tests.
- A fully electronic, programmable source supplies required voltages and frequencies worldwide.
Benefits- Programmable electronic source 50–260 V AC/DC, max. 13 A AC
- Long service life and maintenance-friendly design
- Parameters and settings changeable via PC/software
- Workplace safety compliant with EN 50191
- Short cycle times using safety current-limited testing technology
- Intuitive operation for trained personnel
- Single connection of DUT; remaining test sequence automatic
- Network mode: automatic storage of all test data to selected location/database
Technical data- Ground bond test AC 0–30 A
- High voltage test AC 100–5,500 V
- High voltage test DC 100–6,000 V
- Continuity test 24 V DC / 600 mA
- Insulation test DC 100–6,000 V
Function test- Current 0–13 A
- Voltage 0–270 V
- Power 0–4,000 W
