Product overview Modern LED luminaires require electrical safety and functional testing after production. LED technology imposes specific test methods and interface simulations to validate both safety and control functions.
Industry Luminaires / Lighting
Challenge Rapid adoption of LED technology has reduced currents and introduced switching power supplies that generate apparent currents and phase shifts. Remote-control interfaces (DALI, DSI, 0 - 10 V) are common and likely to expand, so end-of-line test systems must combine classical safety checks with extended functional measurements and interface simulation.
Solution The L 1800 is an LED luminaire testing system compatible with standard compact testers (KT 1885B / KT 1886B) and a separate PC connected via Ethernet. It provides programmable safety and function test sequences, interface simulation modules and a configurable connection panel. The modular design enables automatic test runs, easy software updates and hardware extensions for future LED interfaces.
