Short description
Complete electrical testing solution for commercial kitchens. A safety and function test is performed on the mostly 3-phase DUTs after production; the system is designed to handle currents up to 600 A.

Task
Modernise existing test stations to improve processes and provide full documentation of test data. Customer requirement: single connection of the DUT, with all subsequent tests executed automatically. The high test currents up to 600 A require appropriately rated switching elements, plug connectors and cables. High leakage currents (up to several 100 A) must be taken into account for high‑power heaters.

Solution
A PC-controlled test system was developed for safety testing according to IEC / EN 60335. Function tests focus on current and power measurements. The workplace is designed according to EN 50191 to protect testing personnel. All test equipment, including the PC, measurement transducers and switching elements, is housed space-efficiently in a 3 x 19'' / 42 HU cabinet. The DUT is connected once; the system automatically selects and executes the required test sequences and documents results.
