Description

INTRODUCTION
The X-3550 is a CNC cylindrical grinding machine from the X series, designed for precise and efficient external cylindrical grinding of small to large components. It combines a compact cross-slide layout, a high-rigidity machine base and a heavy-duty spindle and tailstock to increase load capacity and stability for demanding industrial applications.

MACHINE FEATURES
USER-FRIENDLY OPERATION SYSTEM
Built-in high-performance CNC controller with graphical user interface (GUI) for graphical process setup, simplified editing of grinding and dressing sequences and reduced need for manual G/M code programming.

RIGID MACHINE BASE
  • Meehanite cast iron base with annealing and aging treatment for high rigidity and thermal stability.
  • Slideways hardened by high-frequency treatment and precision ground for excellent wear resistance and accuracy.
  • Robust sliding-seat mechanism with 1 V 1 flat structure ensuring precision and deformation-free performance.


WORK TABLE / CROSS-SLIDER DESIGN
The bolted work table and cross-slide X/Z layout minimize travel distances to save floor space and improve dynamic response. Enclosed telescopic covers protect transmission components from grinding debris and coolant.

HIGH RIGIDITY SLIDEWAY
High-rigidity hard rail structure with large-diameter grade ball screws to maintain precision under heavy loads and reduce vibration.

WHEELHEAD CONSTRUCTION
  • Precision bearings in the wheel spindle for long service life and easy maintenance.
  • Spindle material SNCM-220 with heat treatment and precision grinding, surface hardness above HRC62 for wear resistance.


WORKHEAD AND TAILSTOCK
  • Heavy-duty workhead and tailstock design to increase overall load capacity.
  • Servo-driven workhead with stepless speed variation; optional hydraulic tailstock.
  • Flat air-pressure design on workhead and tailstock to reduce friction and facilitate movement.
  • Central cooling system to prevent heating and deformation at center contact surfaces.


DIAMOND TOOL HOLDER (WORK TABLE MOUNTED)
Standard on X-35 series: diamond dressing device fixed to the swivelling work table to avoid re-calibration errors after table angle adjustments. Multiple diamond holder options to match workpiece requirements.
