INTRODUCTION
The X-3550P is a CNC external cylindrical grinder designed for combined end-face and outer-diameter grinding. It features plunge grinding and an angular wheelhead with a 180 mm wide grinding wheel to enable efficient one-pass processing of shafts and gear components, improving throughput and repeatability for industrial production.

USER-FRIENDLY CNC SYSTEM
The integrated CNC with graphical GUI allows graphical division of complex parts into sequential grinding processes and numeric editing of grinding/dressing operations—no manual G/M code programming required.

RIGID MACHINE BASE
Machine base in Meehanite cast iron with annealing and aging treatment. Slideways undergo high-frequency hardening and precision grinding to ensure low deformation and high wear resistance. 1V1 flat slideway and robust sliding seat improve precision and stability.

HIGH-RIGIDITY SLIDEWAYS
1V1 flat guideway with dual-axis box-way sliders and large ball screws for improved load capacity and wheelhead stability.

WORK TABLE & CROSS-SLIDER DESIGN
Cross-slide X/Z design minimizes footprint while maximizing axial travel. Fully enclosed telescopic guards protect transmissions from swarf and coolant.

WHEELHEAD CONSTRUCTION
Grinding spindle with precision bearings. Spindle material SNCM-220 is normalized, quenched/tempered, carburized, cryogenically treated and precision ground to >HRC62 for high wear resistance and long service life.

WORKHEAD & TAILSTOCK
Rigid workhead and tailstock suitable for heavy workpieces. Workhead driven by servo motor (stepless speed). Optional hydraulic tailstock. Cooling to center holes reduces thermal distortion. Diamond tool holder for dressing mounted on tailstock (standard for X-P series).

MAINTENANCE & HANDLING
Integrated jib crane for wheel replacement mounted inside full splash guard to facilitate safe, space-saving wheel changes. Devices for dressing and grinding cycles support efficient operation.
