Overview
The PV-550 is a horizontal Flow Wrapper (HFFS) family designed to produce three-seal pillow packs for irregular or hard-to-drag products. Film coil is positioned at the lower part of the machine. Available in PV-550 LSH I X and PV-550 SPH I X versions; optional MAP (modified atmosphere packaging) capability.

Main features

• Construction in stainless steel and anticorrosive-treated materials.
• Standard working direction: right to left (other directions available).
• PV-550 LSH I X: cross-welding with horizontal fillet clamp; longitudinal weld using three pairs of rollers for welding and film transport.
• PV-550 SPH I X: cross-welding with thread-type welding clamp; thread-type longitudinal welding with conic welding and cutting rollers; motorized film remnant winding.
• 550 mm wide LSH-type cross-welding head.
• Motorized height adjustment of the longitudinal welding system.
• Double auto-centring coil support.
• Standard 2 m feeding unit; other lengths available.
• Mould with stretchable former and adjustable package length according to product.
• Detection and safety functions: No product – No package; detection of mispositioned products in clamps.
• LCD screen for parameter adjustment, diagnosis and machine status; recipe memory for up to 20 products.
