Description

Presentation
The CHIOR PCP progressing cavity pump is engineered for the transfer of liquids across a wide viscosity range, including non-homogeneous fluids and slurries with suspended solids. Typical applications include water and wastewater treatment, biogas plants and agricultural installations.

Product overview
The CHIOR PCP is an electric motor-driven progressing cavity (PCP) pump consisting of a single-thread rotor and a replaceable NBR stator. The rotor is an elongated round-thread screw driven via a drive unit and a universal (cardan) joint. As a positive-displacement pump, it provides accurate, low-pulsation flow for thin to highly viscous media.

Function
The CHIOR PCP range can be configured with multiple accessory kits and installation layouts to match process requirements. It is designed to handle solids-laden and non-homogeneous liquids while reducing turbulence and the risk of clogging.

Features
  • Maximum slurry temperature: 55 °C
  • Maximum solids size: 12–24 mm
  • Treated liquid pH range: 6–9
  • IE3 electric motor for improved energy efficiency
  • Parallel-axis WAM gear reducer with integrated bearing bracket to absorb radial and axial loads
  • Double-acting oil-filled cartridge seal for extended service life
  • Universal joint protected by a fibre-reinforced clamped sleeve for quick maintenance
  • Cardan joint removable via 4 maintenance openings for fast replacement
  • Rotor manufactured from hardened tool steel, abrasion-resistant; available with integrated cutting blades
  • Innovative solution for shredding, mixing and flow intensification
  • Low-wear NBR stator, replaceable through 4 threaded ends
  • Self-priming capability up to 9 m (clear water)
  • Dry-running protection via drilled bore in the stator
  • Pressure sensor device for pressure monitoring

Benefits
  • Long service life due to robust materials and design
  • Easy maintenance with large access openings, multiple drains and cleaning connections
  • High suction capacity and effective solids handling thanks to optimized pumping elements
  • Continuous low-pulsation delivery minimizes turbulence and reduces clogging
  • Compact, one-piece design for space-efficient installation
  • Modular construction allows flexible configuration and reduces spare-part variety

Options
  • Pressure sensor with ceramic membrane (G¾)
