Description

Overview
A waterproof push-pull solenoid is an electromagnetic actuator designed to operate effectively under wet, dusty, humid, or outdoor environmental conditions. Compared with standard solenoids, it features sealed housing, waterproof cable options, and protective coatings to provide corrosion resistance. Applying electrical current to the coil generates a magnetic field that moves the plunger linearly to produce pushing or pulling force according to the design.

How it works
Electrical current through the coil produces a magnetic field that attracts the movable plunger toward the coil center, resulting in linear motion (push or pull). After power is removed, a return spring or external force returns the plunger to its original position. Sealing materials and the housing protect internal components from contaminants, enabling operation in milliseconds for typical actuation cycles.
