Conax buffalo sealing gland
The MHM and MHC series of feedthroughs were designed to produce a leak free method of passing multiple probes or conductors (MHM and MHC) from ambient through to process conditions. Glands are available to carry upto 16 tubes or probes through a single fitting and elements in both metric and imperial sizes from 0.5mm (0.020") to 3.2mm (0.125")
The bodies of these feedthroughs are machined from 316L stainless steel and leak prevention is based upon soft sealant technology using Teflon®.Viton®, Neoprene, Lava & Grafoil®. All sealents are re-usable apart from Lava. Various thread forms and process connections are available including NPT, BSP, weld-neck and Tri-clover hygienic flanges.

General description:
The Roxtec RS PPS back-to-back seal has been developed specifically to address the challenges of plastic pipes passing through pressurised and fire rated areas. The seal consists of two Roxtec seals that protect against water and gas leakage. An intumescent sealing strip in the middle expands when the plastic pipe burns through, and fills the empty space to stop any fire from passing through.

Pressure and Vacuum Sealing Assemblies
Conax Technologies designs and manufactures a complete line of pressure/vacuum mechanical compression seal fittings and assemblies for wires and probes for virtually every industry. A wide range of catalog standard fittings are available from stock, while unlimited custom designs are also available for unique wire or probe sealing applications.
Exclusive "Soft Sealant" Technology
Conax Technologies' exclusive "soft sealant" technology enables easy assembly of the fitting by simply inserting the wire or probe and torquing the fitting cap. Replaceable sealants permit repeated use of the stainless steel fitting for easy installation and service in the field. Our standard sealant materials include Lava, Teflon®, Neoprene, Viton® and Grafoil® and are designed, depending on gland type, to seal pressures ranging from vacuum up to 10,000 psi/690 bar involving temperatures ranging from -400°F to 3000°F/
-240°C to +1650°C. Other sealant materials are available for custom applications.
Wire and Probe Sealing
In wire sealing, we routinely accommodate in one gland from 1 to 16 conductors ranging from 24 AWG to 3/4"/.03mm diameter to handle a voltage range from the millivolt level up to 8000 volts and currents up to 400 amps. In probe sealing, from 1 to 40 probes, ranging in size from 0.020"/0.5mm to 1.250"/32 mm diameter, are routinely pressure or vacuum sealed in a single unit. Beyond these, we offer custom or special assemblies.

Electrical Feedthroughs:
Nor-Cal's extensive line of electrical feedthroughs are manufactured from ultra-high vacuum grade materials such as high alumina ceramic insulators, OFHC® copper and nickel conductors, and 304 stainless steel flanges. These robust ceramic to metal feedthroughs have electrical ratings for operation with one side in dry atmosphere while the opposite end is in a stable vacuum. They are used in ultra high vacuum systems with CF flanges or high vacuum systems with NW flanges. CF feedthroughs can be baked to 450°C and NWs to 204°C with maximum system pressure of 1 x 10-4 Torr. Our product line consists of the most commonly required feedthroughs for general vacuum applications. Customs designs or modified standards can readily be supplied.

General description:
EMC installations are used for shielded transits against electromagnetic disturbances. When using Roxtec B, G, S and SF frames we recommend choosing galvanized versions. If mild steel versions are used, make sure to remove any priming on the inside surfaces of the frames to achieve good electrical conductivity. For casting with B and G frames make sure the frames are properly connected to earth. See casting instructions. Roxtec EMC installations are made together with Roxtec RM ES, PE, ES B or PE B modules.

The PG series of feedthroughs were designed to produce a leak free method of passing a single probe or conductor from ambient through to process conditions.
The bodies of these feedthroughs are machined from 316L stainless steel and leak prevention is based upon soft sealant technology using Teflon®. Various thread forms and process connections are available including NPT, BSP, weld-neck and Tri-clover hygienic flanges.
Applying the correct torque to the gland cap nut will ensure a permanent leak free seal without damage to the probe or conductor. Following the removal of a probe or probes for calibration the sealant can be re-used.
Where it is necessary to remove one or more probes (perhaps for operational reasons) when using multiple probes, normal sterilising procedures can still be maintained by fitting the vacant positions with an EGB. This is fabricated in 316L stainless steel to the same diameter of the absent probe. It is constructed with a larger diameter on the chamber side to prevent movement of the blank through the sealant when exposed to chamber pressure.

Conax Design Solution: This product is a custom-designed hybrid of our Electrode Gland (EG) series and our Electrode Gland Teflon (EGT) series designs. We incorporated and combined positive features of each gland to benefit the customer in this application.
The EG offers high temperature resistance required closer to the heaters. The EGT offers more robust, less costly components for the balance of the assembly located where lower temperatures prevail.
The specially made solid nickel conductors are designed with staggered lengths to ease power cable attachment.
Benefits: Performance and longevity were improved with this design because the heating elements can function at peak performance at all times, reducing cycle times and down time. The few replacement parts required can be replaced on-site in the time it takes for the unit to cool down and be reloaded with new production material. The old design required a complete offsite rebuild over several months with a significant loss of productivity and a continuous performance degradation throughout its life cycle.
If you have a need to manage power or instrument leads into any type of an autoclave look to Conax Technologies for your solution.

Conventional methods of chamber entry for validation thermocouples allow only limited numbers of thermocouples to be used. They are relatively time consuming in their application and frequently prone to unacceptable leakage.
The TCEG/1 addresses both these problem areas by providing individual slots for 18 separate thermocouples and a rapid action, locking and securing mechanism.
By utilising a three part sealant arrangement the gland becomes a TCEG/2 with the opportunity of increasing the capacity to 36 individual thermocouples. Should even more thermocouples need to be accommodated, then a ‘Y’ adapter connected to the chamber entry port can double both these quantities.
For mounting onto the autoclave chamber the TCEG is supplied with a Tri-clamp flange with the option of having a 1½” or up to 2½” flange.
The gland body is machined from 316L stainless steel with the cap in CZ121 brass. Sealants are in medical grade silicone to Shore 40 hardness and in accordance with FDA USP Class VI.
