Single facer Modul Facer® MF-A

Overview
BHS Corrugated Single Facers form flute profiles for a wide range of paper grades and working widths up to 3,350 mm. With over 2,000 machines delivered worldwide, the product family covers modular and cassette concepts and is engineered for production speeds depending on model and configuration of up to approximately 500 m/min.

Available models

• Modul Facer® MF (MF-A): modular corrugating roll modules for maximum flexibility; interchangeable modules (swivel or lifting), preheated corrugating rolls, RFID-enabled modules storing settings and production data; automatic flute changes with downtimes around three minutes; performance up to ~480 m/min.
• Cassette Facer CF (CF-A): belt technology combined with cassette concept for improved printability and light-grammage applications; inclined belt conveyor, motorized cassette feeding from drive or operator side, SoftTouch glue application; compact, maintenance-friendly design; heavy-duty configuration available.
• Econo Facer EF (EF-P): designed for higher speed lines (e.g., 110" working width), production speeds up to ~427 m/min (~1,400 ft/min) depending on configuration; water-cooled torque motor for increased traction, PH 900 heating cylinder with hot plate boosting heating capacity, compact footprint, optional FaceAligner for improved alignment.
• Quick Facer QF (QF-P): proven, robust design based on Modul Facer® principles; integrated vacuum system for stable web positioning, SoftTouch glue transfer, cassette changes possible within ~10 minutes (manual or motorized trolley); engineered for speeds up to ~350 m/min; delivered ready for installation.

Glue application and corrugating technology
All Single Facers use the patented SoftTouch glue application concept, providing permanent direct contact with the corrugating roll across the working width to optimize glue distribution, reduce glue consumption and minimize waste. Selected models use vacuum and belt technologies to ensure stable flute formation and optimized printability.

Installation, commissioning and maintenance
Many Single Facers are designed for ground-level installation with reduced foundation requirements; Modul Facer® MF offers prefabricated modules and on-machine control cabinets to shorten assembly and commissioning time. Preventive maintenance services, operator training and fast field service are available to maximize availability and minimize lifecycle costs and downtimes.
