Overview
The Double Facer by BHS Corrugated delivers bonding, drying and web transport for flute sizes from micro-flute up to heavy triple-corrugated board. It is engineered for high line speeds and stable web quality across a range of board grades.

Platerol loading system
The Platerol loading system combines roll and pressure-shoe principles to provide efficient heat transfer and reliable web joins. It balances line pressure and surface pressure to prevent caliber losses at narrow widths. The system is fully automated and operable from the main console or the local control station.

Technical features
The Machine Control Center (MCC) is the operator interface and system monitor, consolidating machine state, diagnostics and settings management. The MCC supports testing, modification and storage of parameters and includes an integrated cleaning program. A special belt increases wear resistance, improves drying and ensures board flatness.

Pressure shoes and hotplates
Consistent surface pressure from the pressure shoes ensures effective heat transfer between hotplates and corrugated board and prevents board compression across the width. Hotplates are mounted on a stable base to keep flatness under all operating conditions and respond quickly to production changes. Large front doors and a height-adjustable loading system facilitate cleaning and maintenance.

DualBoost
DualBoost is an infeed module that raises production speed and accelerates ROI by combining lower-liner heating with steam moistening of the upper web. The two functions are independently controllable to match speed and board grade. Steam is applied in the running direction to condition paper and starch at flute tips before bonding, improving internal energy and reducing drying risk. The spray unit is designed for low maintenance.
