Overview
The Cutoff HQ from BHS Corrugated is a high-precision cross cutter engineered for high-speed, industrial corrugated board production. Directly driven, lightweight carbon-fiber knife bars deliver industry-leading speed curves, enabling accurate cutting of very short boards with minimal influence from board weight. The Cutoff HQ is capable of cutting boards up to 1800 g/m² at full speed.

Working width
Available working widths are configurable up to 3,350 mm. Increasing the working width does not negatively affect speed curves, cutting accuracy or cut quality. Optionally, the Cutoff HQ can be configured to discharge production waste at full operating speed of up to 400 m/min.

Integration
The compact design of the Cutoff HQ enables fast and straightforward integration into existing corrugators and production lines, minimizing required installation space and line modifications.

intelligent Cut-to-Mark Control (iCMC)
QR codes on the Cutoff HQ trigger the cutting signal and enable closed-loop control. Camera systems on multiple Cutoff levels upstream and downstream perform gapless print-image recognition of preprint. The system automatically triggers the HQ cut based on QR code information, eliminating the need for register mark calibration and reducing start-up waste and operator intervention. Closed-loop real-time readjustment uses deviations detected by the camera system to increase per-sheet cut correction and further reduce start-up waste.
