PresentationFloating pollution containment boom made of PVC-coated polyester fabric (900 g/m²). Designed for preventive or corrective use to close off areas, contain or divert oil slicks and other pollutants on water surfaces (ports, estuaries, coastal waters, etc.). Also suitable for recovering macro-waste (plastic bags, bottles, floating debris, branches) and protecting swimming or boating zones.
Composition and constructionThe boom consists of successive flexible closed-cell foam tubes inserted into watertight PVC-coated polyester sleeves (hydrocarbon-treated 900 g/m²). It is reinforced by a galvanized nautical steel ballast chain enclosed under the sleeve along the full length. The compartmentalized elements allow the boom with skirt to follow surface movements. Each boom is equipped at both ends with bolted connection plates and two handling handles for easier deployment.
Performance and resistanceThe boom offers high durability:
- tear and torsion resistance
- operating temperature range -30°C to +70°C
- wear and abrasion resistance
- resistance to hydrocarbons, oils and most industrial chemicals
- UV resistance
Washable with water; bolting in stainless steel.
