Description
Floating oil containment boom made of PVC-coated polyester fabric (900 g/m2). Model reference: BARC 2055R. This floating boom can be used preventively or curatively to close an area, contain or deflect a slick of hydrocarbons or other pollutants on water surfaces (port areas, estuaries, open coastal waters...).

Detailed description
This floating boom consists of a series of flexible closed-cell foam floats inserted into waterproof sleeves of PVC-coated polyester fabric treated for hydrocarbons (900 g/m2). It is reinforced with a galvanized marine steel ballast chain under a sheath along its full length. The compartmentalization of the elements allows the skirted boom to follow surface movements. Its high flexibility provides excellent behaviour in strong winds and currents. Each boom is fitted at both ends with bolted plates for connection and with two handles to facilitate deployment. This oil containment boom is washable with water and uses stainless steel fasteners. Colour: red.
