DescriptionThe BARC 1545R is an anti-pollution floating boom designed to contain, deflect or confine oil slicks and other floating pollutants in ports, estuaries and coastal or inland waters. It can also protect bathing areas from macro-waste and floating debris.
Construction- Floats: succession of closed-cell foam tubes Ø 15 cm inserted in waterproof polyester fabric envelopes coated with hydrocarbon-treated PVC (900 g/m²).
- Reinforcement: galvanized nautical steel ballast chain in a protective sheath running the full length of the boom.
- Endpoints: bolted connection plates at both ends and two handling grips for deployment.
Performance and resistance- Flexible compartmentalized design follows surface movements; good behavior in strong winds and currents.
- Resistant to tearing, twisting, wear and abrasion.
- Chemical resistance: hydrocarbons, greases and most industrial agents.
- Operating temperature range: -30°C to +70°C.
- UV resistant and washable with water; stainless steel bolts.
