Description
Sargassum is a brown seaweed that is highly problematic both when it drifts at sea and when it strands on beaches. Our containment barrier confines it offshore before it can disperse. It protects fishing grounds, bathing areas and tourist zones. The barrier prevents it from reaching beaches because when it dries it emits a very unpleasant odor. The removal and treatment of this brown seaweed require significant human and logistical resources and are very costly.

Principles and deployment
Deployed offshore, the containment barrier is the least costly and least intrusive solution. It adapts to local sites and conditions and can be sized according to local needs (e.g. Antilles, Caribbean, Martinique, Guadeloupe). It is designed and manufactured to measure.
