Description

Overview
The Galvatherm® flat immersion heater — A-mount with feet is designed to provide frost protection for storage tanks, with or without retention. Its flat profile and large heat-exchange surface enable simple, effective installation directly through an inspection hatch (minimum Ø 500 mm), including on a filled tank. Suitable for volumes sensitive to low temperatures and for autonomous frost protection.

Technical specifications
  • Power: suitable up to 6 kW (application dependent).
  • Frame materials: PP, PVDF, PFA-coated stainless steel or uncoated stainless steel.
  • Feet: PP, PVDF, PTFE or stainless steel; standard foot height 50 mm.
  • Heating cable: PFA-insulated cable mounted on a coated metal frame.
  • Standard configurations: P30, P40, P90.

Key benefits
  • Quick installation via inspection hatch (manhole Ø min. 500 mm) without emptying the tank.
  • Support feet located on each side of the heating section for stable positioning at the tank bottom.
  • Flat design allowing use in confined access situations while ensuring continuous frost protection.

Main applications
  • Frost protection for storage tanks, with or without drip tray.
  • Safety heating for temperature-sensitive fluids in food, chemical and environmental sectors.
  • On-site use in winter conditions or in unheated buildings.

Safety and compliance
  • Compliant with EN 60519-1/2.
  • Optional: PFA-coated PT100 sensor factory-mounted directly on the immersion heater.
  • Cable gland option for non-heating cable to improve sealing and durability in demanding conditions.

Options & accessories
  • Ø75 mm cable gland (allow 300 mm clearance on length H).
  • Cable extensions: power cable types HO5 VV-F or HO7 RN-F; non-heating cable for tank outlet.
  • PP or PVDF feet for tank-bottom installation (standard height 50 mm) — PP ref. PIPP, PVDF ref. PIPF.
  • Teflon-sheathed PT100 probe — factory-mounted on the unit; for closed tanks the probe passes through the same cable gland as the immersion heater; unlimited length available.

Technical characteristics
  • Minimum inspection hatch (manhole) diameter for installation: 500 mm.
  • Recommended maximum single-unit power rating: up to 6 kW (application dependent).
  • Frame material options: PP, PVDF, PFA-coated stainless steel, uncoated stainless steel.
  • Feet material options: PP, PVDF, PTFE, stainless steel; standard feet height 50 mm.
  • Heating element insulation: PFA-insulated cable mounted on coated metal frame.
  • Standard product references used in configurations: P30, P40, P90.
  • Optional integrated sensor: PFA-coated PT100 mounted on unit.
  • Standards: conforms to EN 60519-1/2.
  • Sealing/connection option: cable gland for non-heating cable (e.g., Ø75 mm gland option).
