Description

Overview
Designed for industrial process heating, Rotkappe® sheathed immersion heaters deliver direct heating for a wide range of process liquids. The product features a modular, fully serviceable construction and a choice of dip tube materials to match aggressive chemical environments. Standard power range is 0.40 kW to 7 kW, with options up to 12 kW.

Main features
  • Direct heating of process liquids in chemical baths and on tank walls.
  • Modular construction: immersion tube, heating element, terminal box and cable — fully removable and repairable.
  • Dip tube materials: porcelain, technical glass, quartz, fluoropolymer, stainless steel and titanium.
  • Voltage options: single-phase 230 V and three-phase 400 V; other voltages available on request.

Key benefits
  • Compatibility with a wide range of process fluids.
  • Suitable for corrosive and surface-treatment environments.
  • Long service life due to selected materials and design.
  • Easy maintenance thanks to removable and repairable modules.

Main applications
  • Direct heating of liquids in chemical baths (surface treatment, phosphating, electroplating).
  • Installation on tank walls and in various chemical process environments requiring sheathed immersion heaters.

Options and accessories
  • Assembly Key SB for BC head — universal key for head assembly.
  • BC terminal box — options in PP (red head) or PVDF (white head) for chemical compatibility.
  • HM mounting sleeve for BC head — EPDM sleeve for securing in tank cross-members; bore diameter 70–76 mm; recommended for high-temperature liquids or high vapor release.
  • EM mounting sleeve for BC head — EPDM sleeve for reduced-footprint installation; bore diameter 87–90 mm.
  • SRF protective sheath for BC head — PP sheath with welded support for mechanical protection of the immersion tube, with EPDM sleeve.
  • SHB support for BC head — PP support with HM sleeve for fixing immersion heaters in ABS constructions.
  • HB/L and HB supports for BC/L and BC heads — supports for securing terminal box to tank rim; suitable for immersion tube lengths up to 800 mm; materials: PVDF or PP.
