Description

Product overview
Galvatherm® flat immersion heaters, Mounting A, provide an efficient heating solution with a compact footprint and a large heat exchange surface. Designed for industrial liquid heating where space and uniform wall heating are critical.

Key benefits
  • Versatility: compatible with standard tank configurations and both edge and bottom mounting.
  • Compact design: maximized heat exchange area within minimal installation space.
  • Easy integration: fast installation and modular accessories for varied site requirements.

Main applications
  • Heating of industrial tank liquids, including precise tank-wall heating and frost protection.
  • Use in aggressive chemical environments and baths where fluoropolymer-insulated heating cables are required.

Options & accessories
  • Ø75 mm cable gland — requires 300 mm clearance on length H (mounting height on N). Available in PP (ref: PEPP) and PVDF (ref: PEPF).
  • Cable extension — power cable C of type HO5 VV-F or HO7 RN-F; non-heating cable N for tank outlet.
  • Removable protector for A — perforated plastic protector in PP (ref: PRPPP) or PVDF (ref: PRPPF).
  • Feet for A — PP or PVDF feet for bottom mounting (standard height 50 mm) — PP ref.: PIPP, PVDF ref.: PIPF.

Technical specifications
  • Power: 0.5 kW to 15 kW (recommended up to 6 kW for certain configurations).
  • Frame materials: metal frame coated with PP, PVDF, FEP or uncoated stainless steel.
  • Heating cable insulation: FEP or PFA fluoropolymers.
  • Installation: edge or bottom of tank mounting; quick installation design.
  • Electrical compatibility: single-phase 110 V / 230 V / 460 V; three-phase 230 V / 400 V / 460 V.
  • Shielding: continuous copper shield provided; earthing connection required.
  • Standards: complies with EN 60519-1/2.

Installation & safety
  • Provide the specified clearance for cable glands and accessories during planning (Ø75 mm gland: 300 mm on length H).
  • Ensure continuous copper shielding is correctly connected to earth.
  • Select protector, feet and materials (PP/PVDF/FEP/stainless) according to tank chemistry and temperature.
