OverviewThe K7 series is designed for melt and high-temperature process applications with process temperatures up to 538°C (1000°F). It uses a near-incompressible hydraulic fill (NAK - sodium–potassium) to transmit pressure and thick-film strain-gauge technology to convert the mechanical quantity into an electrical voltage signal. SIL2-certified variants are suitable for Functional Safety applications in polymer processing plants.
Main features- Hydraulic transmission with NAK (sodium–potassium) for stable pressure transmission at high temperatures
- Pressure ranges: 0–35 to 0–1000 bar (0–500 to 0–15000 psi)
- Voltage output options (multiple voltage ranges available)
- Accuracy classes: < ±0.25% FS (H); < ±0.5% FS (M)
- SIL2 certification for Functional Safety
- Autozero: on-board or external option
- Stem drift autocompensation available (SP version)
- Standard threads: 1/2-20 UNF and M18x1.5; other threads on request
Materials and temperature limits- Inconel 718 diaphragm with GTP+ coating — up to 538°C (1000°F)
- 15-5 PH diaphragm with GTP+ coating — up to 400°C (750°F)
- Hastelloy C276 diaphragm — up to 300°C (570°F)
- 17-7 PH corrugated diaphragm with GTP+ coating — for ranges below 100 bar / 1500 psi up to 400°C (750°F)
- Stem material: 17-4PH
Typical applications- High-temperature melt pressure measurement (engineered polymers, extrusion, injection molding)
- Process plants requiring Functional Safety (SIL2)
