Overview
The Geovent non-return valve is an ATEX-certified safety device that prevents explosion propagation in duct systems. Installed between the filter and the plant, the internal flap mechanically closes during an explosion to isolate the affected area. The valve operates without power, sensors or electronics, is maintenance-free under normal operation, and is suitable for horizontal ducting systems handling organic or non-metallic dust.

Construction and suitability
The valve is constructed from robust 16MO3 steel and fitted with a HARDOX HB 400 closing flap. The unit is powder coated in RAL 3020 red. It is designed for ATEX zones 20, 21 and 22 and for dust classified as St1 (organic and non-metallic dust). The valve is rated for Kst values up to 200 bar·m/s and a maximum explosion overpressure Pred,max of 0.5 bar. The product is available for horizontal ducts and diameters from Ø200 to Ø600 mm and can be used indoors or outdoors.

Installation & accessories
Installation uses welded FA flanges for quick and straightforward mounting. The valve requires no electrical supply for its explosion-retention function. Available accessories include position sensors, dust level indicators and a remote unlocking system for valves installed in hard-to-reach locations.

Notes
Designed to isolate and protect the rest of the plant during an explosion by automatic mechanical closure of the flap. Intended for use where minimal pressure loss and reliable passive safety are required.
