General information
Glass Service manufactures the adjustable port air valve mod. VV for precise flow control in burner and combustion systems. The valve provides a variable air flow via an adjustable rectangular port; setting can be manual or linked to automatic controls. The adjustable port allows on-site sizing after installation. Internal parts are serviceable without removing the valve from the pipeline.

Materials
The valve features a cast iron body with internal components machined from Anticorodal aluminum and a self-lubricated bronze bushing. Seals are NBR. The mixing chamber and body are machined from cast pieces; the calibrated nozzle is brass and customizable.

Operating
Control is by the curtain adjusting knob (port height) and the core control shaft (port width). Rotating the curtain knob shifts the curtain to open/close the port; rotating the core shaft proportionally uncovers the rectangular port. Flow capacity depends on port height and width relative to the outlet. Operation can be manual or linked to actuators for automatic control.

Installation
The valve includes tapped mounting pads to accept standard control motors. A levering kit is supplied for servomotor connection. Optional mounting kits allow in-line or threaded conversions of the flange connection. Each flange requires four screws for installation.

Maintenance
Internal components are accessible and can be cleaned or replaced in-line without removing the valve from the pipeline, reducing downtime.
