Product overviewThe Hilscher NXHX 90-MC is an evaluation and development board for motion-control and network-interface applications. It integrates the netX 90 processor and serves as a reference design to evaluate communication protocols and motor-driver integration. The board is intended for development, prototyping and firmware evaluation in industrial automation environments.
Key features- Processor: netX 90
- Memory: 4 MByte SQI Flash (onboard)
- Power supply: 12 V – 43 V
- Connectivity: 2 × RJ45; external host interface (Dual-Port-Memory)
- USB: Mini-B (FTDI) for debug, UART and firmware download
- LEDs and controls: SYS, PWR, COM0/COM1, user LEDs, ACT, LINK; reset and configuration switches
- Dimensions: 155 mm × 65 mm × 22.2 mm; Operating temperature: 0–55 °C
Firmware and softwareThe standard firmware fits into the integrated Flash and provides a communication protocol stack and an integrated web server for updates. With optional external memory an expanded firmware is available adding IoT connectivity, (D)TLS support and a dynamic web server. Communication stacks are provided as loadable firmware (LFW) for protocols such as PROFINET IO-Device, EtherCAT Slave and EtherNet/IP Adapter.
Development tools and examplesThe board is supported by netX Studio CDT (Eclipse-based IDE) for configuration, development and debugging. Delivered sample projects and cifX-API examples demonstrate network connectivity to controllers and include motor-control reference sources (e.g. field-oriented control for PMSM with Hall sensors and optional encoders).
Applications and orderingThe NXHX 90-MC is suitable as an evaluation board, a network-interface reference design and for motor-control application development. Article number: 7833.100.
