Description

Product overview
Ceramic membrane experimental device Model MCS-90 is designed for pilot-scale microfiltration, ultrafiltration and fine ultrafiltration. Membrane selection depends on target particle/molecule size, covering an interception range from 1.4 μm down to 1 KD. The system provides flexible operation and simplified cleaning for laboratory and small production trials.

Process principle
The technology uses cross-flow ceramic membrane filtration. Feed flows tangentially through tubular/rolled elements; clarified permeate passes through the membrane under pressure, while retained concentrate containing larger particles is carried off by crossflow, enabling separation, concentration and purification.

Features
  • High temperature tolerance suitable for elevated-temperature filtration; chemically stable ceramic material
  • High mechanical strength, broad pH tolerance (0–14), resistant to acids, alkalis, organic solvents and strong oxidants
  • Long service life and low overall equipment operating cost
  • High concentration factors to reduce water consumption and wastewater discharge
  • Membrane modules compatible with high-temperature steam sterilization for sterile filtration applications

Classification
Applicable ranges include microfiltration, ultrafiltration and fine ultrafiltration depending on membrane pore size and molecular weight cutoff.
