Description

Overview
The MCD2016-5XB is a horizontal 5-axis machining center designed for multi-face indexing and simultaneous 5-axis machining of large workpieces.

Summary
The MCD2016-5XB features multi-face indexing and simultaneous 5-axis control for high-speed, high-accuracy machining of large components. It is supplied standard with a 6,000 rpm spindle for heavy-duty cutting of workpieces up to 2.3 m in diameter and up to 2,000 kg payload. The machine uses 0.1 µm scale feedback and thermal stability measures, including the Makino Thermal Stabilizer (standard) and an optional Thermal Chamber, to maintain accuracy during long continuous runs. A- and B-axes offer 0.0001-degree indexing for precise multi-face machining and simultaneous 5-axis operations.
