Overview
The VS360 is an IR breakbeam people counting sensor operating as a paired transmitter and receiver. It creates an invisible infrared beam to detect crossings and deliver privacy-first, anonymous counting for entrances, corridors, pop-up stores and escalators. The device is battery powered and supports wireless deployment using LoRaWAN® and Milesight D2D for low-power, long-range reporting.

How It Works
The VS360 uses a paired configuration: a transmitter and a receiver create an invisible infrared ribbon. When the ribbon is crossed, the interruption registers a passage event. By comparing signals from the pair, the system determines direction (inbound/outbound) to provide bidirectional counts.

NFC Configuration (on-site)

• Install the Milesight ToolBox mobile app on a compatible phone.
• Enable NFC on the phone, open ToolBox and tap the phone to the master device.
• Authenticate in the app and configure device parameters (power on/off, reporting interval, operating modes).

Deployment & Installation
Designed for quick wireless installation: wall mounting with 3M adhesive or screws, or side-mount where ceiling mounting is unavailable. NFC enables commissioning and parameter changes without opening the device.

Notes on Performance

• Counting accuracy: up to ~80% in standard single-file traffic; side-by-side walking can reduce accuracy.
• Recommended installation height and detection range depend on site layout (see specifications).
• Avoid direct sunlight and strong reflective surfaces in the detection path for best results.
