How it works
  • PIR detects motion to wake the device and provide an initial trigger.
  • ToF measures distance to objects/occupants to confirm presence and avoid ambiguous triggers (combination reduces false positives/negatives).
  • On confirmed events the sensor transmits occupancy state via LoRaWAN® to network servers/cloud for visualization, rules and reporting.


NFC configuration (wireless commissioning)
  • Step 1: Install the Milesight ToolBox app on a compatible smartphone.
  • Step 2: Enable NFC and run ToolBox, then attach the phone to the device to read/write settings.
  • Step 3: Verify password and start configuring parameters (sampling, thresholds, device on/off).


Installation
  • Ceiling mount or wall mount via screws or 3M tape.
  • Rotatable probe allows adjusting detection angle (0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°) to suit cubicle geometry and reduce blind spots.


Cloud & Management
  • Integrates with cloud device management and dashboards for visualization, automatic triggers, regular reports and mobile management.
  • Supports standard LoRaWAN® operation modes (OTAA/ABP) to interoperate with gateways and network servers.
