Product Overview
The Milesight Smart Scene Panel WS136/WS156 provides wall-mounted or desktop control to define and instantly switch up to six preconfigured scenes. It integrates a 2.9-inch black & white E-Ink display for customizable icons and scene status, supports LoRaWAN® and Milesight D2D protocols, and is optimized for low-power operation on coin cell batteries.

One Panel, Multiple Scenes
The WS156 lets users predefine up to six distinct scenes and change ambient settings instantly via dedicated buttons. The E-Ink display shows icons and scene status while minimizing power draw.

Customizable Display
Milesight supplies an icon set and supports uploading custom images so the E-Ink screen can present tailored visuals for meeting rooms, collaboration areas, lighting presets and other use cases.

Milesight D2D Communication
Milesight D2D (Device-to-Device) enables direct messaging among Milesight LoRaWAN® node devices without requiring a gateway, reducing latency and enabling secure local transmission.

One-to-Many Control
As a D2D Controller, a single WS156 command can be received by multiple Milesight D2D Agent devices to synchronize actions across several endpoints.

Dual Protocol Operation
Each physical button on the WS156 can be configured independently to use LoRaWAN® or Milesight D2D, providing flexible integration with existing networks or standalone local deployments.

NFC Configuration (wireless setup)
Configure or switch device settings wirelessly using NFC and the Milesight ToolBox app. Typical steps:

• Install Milesight ToolBox on a smartphone
• Enable NFC, open ToolBox and tap the phone to the device to start configuration
• Enter password if required and configure scene mapping, display images and protocol mode
