Description

Overview
CT10x is a portable split-core clamp-on current transformer for non-intrusive single-conductor monitoring. It installs without de-energizing circuits, supports self-powered operation from induced current with USB Type-C fallback for power and configuration, and transmits energy and current data over LoRaWAN®. Available in 100 A / 250 A / 500 A model ranges for lighting, HVAC, motors and large feeders, CT10x is designed for retrofit electrical panels, distributed facilities and temporary measurements.

Key features
  • Split-core clamp-on design for installation in crowded panels and placement of the wireless transceiver outside metal enclosures to improve RF coverage.
  • Portable and reusable: reposition between circuits without rewiring or service interruption.
  • Primary self-powered operation from the measured conductor; USB Type-C provides 5 V backup power and configuration/console access.
  • Low startup/minimum reporting current to support low-load circuits (example: CT101 ~1.4–1.5 A under longer reporting intervals).
  • High-sampling measurement (3.3 kHz) to capture transient spikes and dynamic loads.
  • On-device cumulative ampere-hour reporting; kWh reporting available when nominal voltage and power factor are configured.
  • Alerts: current threshold, over-current, temperature threshold and low-voltage for early detection of abnormal conditions.
  • LoRaWAN® wireless transmission (OTAA/ABP Class A) with SMA antenna connector and multi-region frequency support.
  • Built-in short-term energy storage to continue operation up to ~12 hours during temporary circuit outages.

Models / Options (summary)
CT101 — Rated current: 100 A; Wire hole: Φ16 mm; Typical applications: lighting, office equipment, small HVAC units and low-to-mid single-conductor circuits.
CT103 — Rated current: 250 A; Wire hole: Φ16 mm; Typical applications: commercial HVAC, compressors, mixed-load distribution panels.
CT105 — Rated current: 500 A; Wire hole: Φ36.5 mm; Typical applications: large motors, industrial feeders, chillers and high-current single-conductor loads.

Operational & integration highlights
  • Non-intrusive installation: clamp-on measurement without de-energizing circuits for retrofit deployments.
  • Self-powered with USB Type-C fallback: primary energy from conductor; USB used for configuration and console access.
  • Wireless connectivity: LoRaWAN® protocol with SMA antenna; supports common regional bands and gateway ecosystems for cloud forwarding, MQTT, BMS/SCADA integration.
  • Local calculation: on-device kWh calculation when nominal voltage and power factor are configured to reduce backend conversions.
  • Fleet maintenance: supports FUOTA and bulk device management to minimize on-site service.

Applications & deployment examples
  • Concert halls and public venues — circuit-level energy visibility without operational interruption; supports energy audits and sustainability reporting.
  • Transport hubs and infrastructure — baseline energy monitoring and integration into digital twins/BMS via LoRaWAN gateways.
  • Industrial facilities — per-machine current monitoring for efficiency benchmarking and early anomaly detection; installs without production shutdown.
  • Educational campuses — distributed non-intrusive sub-metering across building panels for campus energy optimization.
