Description

Overview
RESI IO modules are engineered for building automation, industrial automation and infrastructure applications. Available in 4, 8 or 12 MU widths, they fit standard 45 mm switchboard cutouts and into common distribution cabinets. The product family covers mixed configurations of digital inputs, universal analog I/Os and relay outputs to address diverse I/O requirements.

Interfaces & Protocols
Two interface variants are offered:
  • RS485 interface with MODBUS/RTU Slave protocol
  • Ethernet interface with MODBUS/TCP Server protocol
All modules also provide a compact ASCII command protocol for integration with media control systems or IoT controllers (Node-RED, NodeJs, Python). Ethernet models additionally support MODBUS/RTU over TCP where required.

Configuration
Parameterize and test modules with the free RESIConfigurator software. Each unit is delivered with a complete ASCII command list and a MODBUS register table including detailed explanations for rapid commissioning.

IO types & functionality
This product group includes modules with:
  • Universal analog inputs or outputs (configurable per channel)
  • Digital inputs
  • Relay outputs for AC or DC loads

Universal analog IO features
Selected modules provide per-channel configurable analog I/O where each channel can be set as:
  • Analog input: 0/2–10 V or 0/4–20 mA
  • Analog output: 0/2–10 V or 0/4–20 mA
  • Resistor input (0–1 MΩ)
  • RTD input: PT100, PT1000 or NI1000-DIN43760
  • Digital input (dry contact or 24 Vdc)

Digital inputs and relays
Digital inputs accept DC signals up to 48 Vdc. Relay outputs are Form A (normally open) with AgSnO2 contacts, rated up to 6 A maximum. Supported switching voltages depend on configuration: up to 30 Vdc or up to 250 Vac for AC circuits.

Options / Variants
  • Interface: RS485 (ASCII + MODBUS/RTU Slave) or Ethernet (ASCII + MODBUS/TCP Server)
  • Analog IO variants: 4xAIOX / 8xAIOX / 16xAIOX (universal analog I/O per channel: 0/2–10 V, 0/4–20 mA, RTD, DI)
  • Digital & relay combinations: examples include 32xDI (≤48 Vdc) + 12xrelays (≤30 Vdc, ≤250 Vac, ≤6 A); other combinations with different relay counts and DOs available

Delivered documentation
Each product shipment includes an ASCII command list, a MODBUS register table and catalog/product attachment documents (catalog pages, manuals and certificates) to support integration and certification requirements.
