Overview
The 3S-WS-PLS-A is a cup anemometer (wind speed sensor) that measures horizontal wind speed in m/s by converting cup rotations into electrical pulses via a reed relay. The sensor features a seawater‑resistant anodized aluminium housing and is supplied with mounting accessories and a 3 m LIYY UV- and weather‑resistant cable. Compatible with SEVEN Irradiance Sensor Box and SEVEN Sensor Box for simplified data routing.

How it works
Each rotation of the cup assembly actuates a magnet-driven reed switch, producing a pulse output proportional to wind speed. The enclosed housing reduces exposure of moving parts and enables reliable pulse transmission to an irradiance sensor or data logger over a single cable.
