OverviewThe Plastic Wind Speed Sensor (cup anemometer) 3S-WS-PLS-P measures horizontal wind speed and provides pulse (reed relay) output for direct integration with SCADA, PLC or data loggers. Standards & NoteCompliant with IEC 61724-1:2021. Wind speed data can support module temperature estimation and wind-damage assessments. To monitor gusts (typically up to 3 s), use a sampling period ≤ 5 s and log both average and peak values.

How It WorksThe rotating cups drive a magnet-activated reed switch; each rotation generates a pulse. Pulse frequency is proportional to wind speed and is counted or measured by the connected system for real-time monitoring or logging.
