OverviewThe QMT torque motor series is designed for the machine-tooling market, combining mechanical compatibility with a balance of power and precision to improve motion capabilities and the performance of existing machine designs.
Series and subseriesThe QMT series comprises two subseries: the LA series and the higher-rotor HA series. The HA subseries features a larger rotor, delivering higher performance and greater power density compared with the LA variants.
Applications- Cutting
- Grinding
- Metrology
- Rotary indexing tables
Key features and benefits- Outstanding stall torque in a compact design suitable for heavy-duty tasks in limited spaces
- Direct integration into the machine structure (no additional gearbox or drive train required)
- Large open inner diameter enabling wire and cable feedthrough
- No contact between rotor and stator → no mechanical wear
- Brushless torque motor design removes the need for gearboxes, belts and speed reducers
- Aluminium housing with integrated water-cooling channels as standard to increase maximum performance
- Housing includes bolt holes to simplify mechanical installation
