Description

Overview
The TruLaser Series 3000 Bevel Cut Edition is a 2D laser cutting system with integrated bevel-cut capability for chamfers, countersinks and angled edges up to ±50°. Designed for industrial sheet-metal production, it enables direct in-machine beveling for thin and thick sheets, improving downstream workflow and reducing assembly operations.

Key benefits
  • Bevel capability: Cutting head inclination enables precise chamfers, countersinks and bevel angles up to ±50°.
  • Reduced downstream operations: In-machine bevel cutting lowers subsequent processing steps and assembly costs.
  • Material flexibility: Bevel cutting for mild and stainless steels; vertical cutting for aluminum, copper, brass and other materials.
  • Full 2D functionality: All TruLaser Series 3000 vertical-cut features remain available (e.g. Highspeed Eco, CoolLine, EdgeLine Bevel).

Applications & materials
  • Bevel and vertical cutting for mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and brass.
  • Efficient bevel cutting on stainless steel using nitrogen; fine chamfers in thick structural steel.

Functions & equipment (selected)
  • Nanojoints – reliable part fixation with minimal remnant fixing for easier handling and reduced rework.
  • CoolLine – water‑mist cooling at the cutting head for improved process stability and new geometry options on thick construction steel.
  • Collision protection – preserves the cutting head and increases machine availability.
  • Online condition check (protective glass) – sensor‑monitored protective glass for cost‑efficient maintenance.
  • AdjustLine – automatic process adaptation to varying material quality to increase reliability and reduce scrap.
  • Smart Rerun – autonomous continuation of production after minor collisions or cutting flaws to avoid downtime.
  • Sorting Guide – camera‑based assistance for part removal and sorting according to orders/processes.
  • Drop&Cut – flexible use of remainder sheets with live camera image and intuitive part placement.
  • MobileControl App – remote operation and monitoring via tablet.
  • Dot Matrix Code – laser‑applied 2D codes for fast part identification and traceability.
  • Touchpoint HMI – intuitive, award‑winning user interface.
  • Digital connection & integration – interfaces (e.g. OPC UA) for integration with MES/monitoring tools.
  • EdgeLine Bevel – machine‑based chamfers, countersinks and rounded edges with simple programming support.
  • RotoLas (optional) – tube/profile processing (outer circles up to 370 mm) on the 2D machine.
  • Smart Collision Prevention – modes to avoid collisions and reduce microjoint need.
  • DetectLine – camera system to determine sheet positions and enable precise rework and focal setting.
  • BrightLine fiber – high‑quality cutting across thickness ranges with solid‑state laser advantages.
  • PierceLine – monitoring and control of piercing process to save material and reduce piercing time.
  • Integrated gas mixer – automatic nitrogen/oxygen mixing for improved part quality on certain materials.
  • FlexLine – high material tolerance for consistent cutting results on variable steel grades.
  • Highspeed / Highspeed Eco – processes to increase throughput and reduce cutting gas consumption while maintaining quality.

Software
  • TruTops Boost – integrated programming and nesting solution for laser and punch‑laser machines with automated nesting and time/material savings.
  • TRUMPF software portfolio – production optimization from order handling to programming and integration with monitoring/analysis tools.
