Product overviewPhosphine detector strips alert workers to the presence of phosphine (PH3) at dangerous levels. The strips change colour from yellow to pink when exposed to PH3 gas. The time required for the colour change can be related to PH3 concentration in the environment. Strips can be used to check a fumigated area after aeration to confirm it is safe for re-entry and can also be issued to workers as personal badges when working in or near fumigated structures.
Application- Alerts workers of the presence of gas in dangerous levels in fumigated areas

Technical specifications- Detection principle: colourimetric strip that changes from yellow to pink on exposure to phosphine
- Detection range: 0.3 – 10 ppm
- Result type: semiquantitative (colour change / exposure time relationship)
- Use cases: post-aeration area checks, worker badge monitoring in/near fumigated structures
- Handling: simple, no specialised training required
- Chemicals required: none additional (self-contained)
- Indicator behaviour: time-to-colour-change correlates with gas concentration
