Metal Detectable Cable Ties Metal Detectable Cable Ties (otherwise known as food safe cable ties or detectable cable ties) are suitable for use in food, pharmaceutical and chemical processing industries. Our Metal Detectable Cable Ties are made from UL approved Nylon 66 94V-2 and contain metal particles which allows them to be detected by a metal detector.   They are available in blue for easy visual detection. They are self-locking for fast and easy application. The UL94V-2 rating allows these Metal Detectable Cable Ties to be used in locations where a level of flammability resistance is required for health and safety purposes. Metal Detectable Cable Ties have an operating temperature of -0°C to +85°C and are also metal detectable to further reduce the risk of contamination. Metal Detectable Cable Ties may also be referred to as Food Safe Ties, Metal Detectable Zip Ties (US) and Magnetic Cable Ties.
