For PET slicing methods, underwater slicing and underwater strip slicing are currently the most common methods on the market.
Workflow:
After being extruded through a porous casting plate in an extruder, the molten material is initially cooled by a guide groove (water tank) and then pulled into a cutting chamber. The strip is then cut into pellets by a rotating cutting roller. The pellets are further cooled by water and transported to a centrifugal dewatering machine. After drying in the centrifugal dewatering machine, they are screened by a vibrating screen to obtain qualified pellets.
During the granulation process, the cooling water for the granulation process is divided into three streams and added to cool the tension bar and pellets. Overflow water and spray water are added after the melt is extruded from the extruder, which can cool and spray the tension bar in the guide groove and allow it to enter the granulation chamber for granulation under the pushing of water flow and the traction of the traction roller. The granulation conveying water in the granulation chamber transports the material particles cut by the rolling cutter to the centrifugal dewatering machine for dehydration.
