Description

Overview
GRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) spray machines are industrial systems for pumping and spraying cementitious mortar reinforced with glass fibers (GFRC). The equipment enables rapid, uniform application of thin fiber-reinforced layers onto molds and formwork for architectural elements, landscaping, and lightweight concrete furniture.

How it works
The machine pumps mixed mortar through hoses to a pneumatic spray gun. Inside the gun a chopping system (air motor) cuts continuous glass fiber into short fibers and feeds them into the mortar stream at the nozzle. The combined mortar + fibers is sprayed onto molds, producing consistent, strong GFRC layers with controlled thickness.

Common applications
  • Cornices and wall panels: decorative surrounds, mouldings and façade details.
  • Garden landscaping: artificial rock, large planters, faux trees and scenic concrete elements.
  • Lightweight furniture: concrete benches, tabletops, fireplace surrounds and decorative pieces.

Buying & model guidance (for beginners)
  • For small teams or startups: a 4 kW screw-pump spray unit is a practical choice — balanced power and serviceability for small-to-medium projects.
  • Preferred pump types: screw pump (recommended for durability and low maintenance) or peristaltic pump as an alternative.
  • Typical pairing: 4 kW spray machine with a 2.2 kW mixer for continuous small-batch production.

Essential auxiliary equipment
  • An air compressor is required to operate the spray gun's fiber-chopping and to convey the spray. Typical recommendation: ~15 kW compressor delivering ~0.8 MPa and ~0.36 m³/min airflow.

Operation & maintenance
  • Daily cleaning: flush hoses, pump core and spray gun with clean water immediately after use until water runs clear; daily 10-minute cleaning significantly extends service life.
  • Pre-spray procedure: circulate clean water or thin cement slurry through hoses to lubricate and prevent clogging; never push thick dry mortar into an empty hose.
  • Material control: strictly filter out oversized sand or aggregates to avoid jamming and pump-core damage.

Beginner tips & practical notes
  • Learning curve: with clear instructions or short training, operators can become competent within a short time (often within half a day).
  • Common issues: improper sand grading, insufficient air supply, inadequate flushing and allowing mortar to dry inside hoses or pump.
  • Commercial note: the machine supplies equipment for producing GFRC components; finished decorative products are produced by the buyer and are not included with the machine.

Technical specifications
  • Product type: GRC / GFRC spray machine (glass-fiber-reinforced concrete spraying equipment).
  • Recommended spray motor power (typical): 4 kW (screw pump model recommended for beginners).
  • Suggested mixer power for small setups: 2.2 kW.
  • Recommended air compressor: ~15 kW, ~0.8 MPa pressure, ~0.36 m³/min airflow.
  • Pump options: screw pump (robust, lower maintenance) or peristaltic pump (alternative).
  • Maintenance: daily flushing of hoses, pump core and gun; pre-spray lubrication; strict sand/aggregate filtration to prevent clogging.
  • Typical applications: architectural mouldings, wall panels, artificial rock landscaping, lightweight concrete furniture.
