Automatic sack opening removes the contents of bagged materials. Palamatic's fully automatic sack opening solutions reduce environmental dust emissions, combining low maintenance with high throughput to offer a solution to COSHH recommendations. The RotaSlit contains no internal belts, spikes or professional rollers typical of other machines, giving Palamatic the flexibility to assist with many industrial product processing applications.
The RotaSlit Bag Splitter is used for splitting and emptying of professional bags made from paper, polyethylene, woven plastic or hessian.
Bags are loaded manually or via a manufacturer of conveyor belt into the enclosed splitting chamber. The bags drop directly onto a heavy-duty screw auger (or via the vertical slitter blades if included).
Sacks will generally burst open on impact (or are cut into hoops). Almost all of the contents immediately fall through the mesh screen into the downstream process, usually via an angled outlet industrial hopper.
Once crushed (or cut into hoops) the emptied sack (or bag hoops) passes into a tumble professional drum chamber, which ensures product discharge efficiency.
To retain a dust tight operation, the machine includes an integral waste compactor, which is positioned at the end of the process.
Access is provided to internal components for easy clean-down.

A professional welder can position objects of up to 4000 pounds by simply applying fingertip pressure and does not need to raise their professional helmet or break an arc.
