The variations in the actioning of the valve, the several combinations and the possibility to intercept the fluid from above or below the plug, originate multiple versions of the automatic valve.
In the table below are indicated the standard versions with the main parameters.
On the basis of the kind of valve and the variations of pressure ∆P that must be intercepted, the necessary control pressure can be individuated, and consequently, the code for the corresponding valve.

2/2-way Angle Seat Valves DN 8-80
The Angle Seat Valve is composed of a 2/2 way Angle Seat valve body and a pneumatically operated piston actuator, which is mounted with a stainless steel adaption to the valve body. Depending on the size, the actuators are made out of plastic or aluminium. The plastic actuators are made out of a high temperature resistant plastic. A self-adjusting gland assures reliable tightness. The gland is protected against dust and damage by a wiper, which is located in front of the gland.
The SED Angle Seat Valve is suitable to separate, pilot, dose and control liquid orgaseous media. The Angle Seat Valve can be designed to specific requirements. In applications for control engineering optimized flow characteristics are achieved by reduced cv-values and equal percentage or linear characteristic curves. Even simple solutions like noise reduction are possible.
Features
* high flow rate
* screwing for actuator assembly isolated
* from media, sealing is prior to the thread
* 360° adjustable actuator
* comprehensive modular accessories,
* even for later assembly

Generam description :
Vacuum angle and inline valves are devices that regulate the flow of gases, fluids or materials through a structure or aperture by opening, closing or obstructing a port or passageway.
Angle valve assemblies consist of an
- Actuator
- Poppet
- Valve Body
The actuator provides the power to position or transport the valve's poppet which is attached to the valve's body via a circular bonnet flange.
The poppet closes or opens one of the valve's body ports.
The valve body is a vacuum tight chamber that is screwed, flanged or welded into a larger vacuum vessel or system.
MDC angle and inline valves are offered in various sizes ranging from .25" to 10" port diameters. Standard port mounts include:
- Del-Seal CF metal seal flanges, recommended for ultrahigh vacuum service
- ISO Kwik-Flange and ISO Large-Flange fast-make and fast-break elastomer seal flanges, ideal for high vacuum applications requiring frequent assembly and disassembly.
Standard Features :
- UHV and HV series
- Del-Seal CF, ISO KF Kwik-Flange, ISO LF Large-Flange and Tube-Weld port connections.
- Manual and Electropneumatic actuators
- 120VAC air control solenoid valve
- OFE copper metal and Viton® elastomer bonnet seals
- Welded bellows actuator seal
- TIG welded internal body joints
- Electropolished interior and exterior surfaces

APPLICATION:
To control the flow of Hot Liquids, Hot Gases, Cryogenics** and any other fluids not reactive with construction materials and free of sediment. Cryogenic fluids include Liquid Oxygen (-297°F), Liquid Argon (-303°F) and Liquid Nitrogen (-320°F). Valve operates from zero to maximum differential pressure indicated in table. Valve must be mounted in horizontal pipe with solenoid enclosure vertical and on top.
OPERATION:
Valve closes when energized and opens when de-energized. When the coil is energized the plunger presses the poppet, closing the pilot orifice, and opens a bleed passageway to permit pressure to build above the piston and seal it. Upon de-energizing the coil, the pilot orifice is opened, relieving the pressure above the piston allowing it to leave its seat. The bottom spring allows the valve to operate at zero pressure drop.

The cryogenic valves with a bellows seal that is exposed to the medium and a backup packing are also suitable for cost-effective installation in horizontal pipelines. The valves are available with globe or angle bodies made of cold-resisting stainless steel or aluminum.

This type of valve is actuated by pressure acting on a piston or diaphragm. The fluid is usually neutral e.g. air, water, hydraulic oil. The pressure range varies and is specified accordingly in a data table.
"Normally Closed" (N/C) valves of this type remain closed under spring pressure, when de-activated.
"Normally Open" (N/O) valves of this type remain open under spring pressure, when de-activated.
When pressure is connected to port "Z" the valves open or close according to type.
A separate 3/2 pilot valve is used to supply pressure to port "Z", it is mounted either directly on the actuator or remotely.
In some cases a 4/2 or 5/2 pilot valve will be required. The main valve position can be N/C or N/O. The basic position is determined by connecting the pilot valve output lines accordingly. (The direction of flow is usually indicated by an arrow or shown schematically on the body).

Externally controlled coaxial valves operate from 0 bar upward. They feature complete pressure balancing, so that any inlet pressure has no effect on the valve's switching characteristics. The medium to be controlled flows through the valve without any significant directional changes to its axial flow.
