The Electromagnetic Digital Load Cells (EM-DLC) of the AD-4212C Series are A&D’s latest weighing sensing technology for maximizing the efficiency of production line systems.
The EM-DLC is a high precision electromagnetic weighing sensor with an integrated analog-to-digital converter. It outputs digital signals directly to a panel computer, PLC, or PC via RS-232C while realizing a minimum weighing value of as small as 1 mg.
The stabilization speed is extremely fast. It takes less than 0.5 seconds for one weighing (up to 30 g + the receptacle weight). In addition, the high-speed, continuous data transmission (selectable from approx. 10 times/second up to 50 times/second) ensures real-time data processing.
The weighing sensor is highly compact. In particular, its width is only 59 mm, which makes the pitch distance between sensors short when multiple sensors are to be lined up. If necessary, the weighing sensor can be directly fixed onto the mounting base by removing its leveling feet.
Free WinCT-4212C software is provided for displaying weighing results, performing calibration, and making settings from your PC. Moreover, there is a display unit (AD-8922A) available as an option, which enables analog, comparator, and BCD outputs with its optional interfaces.
Finally, the weighing sensor is IP65 dust and waterproof. It has also a shock absorber under the weighing pan and can cope with movement in all directions, protecting the weighing unit from an actuator malfunction.
There are currently two models in the AD-4212C Series, the AD-4212C-300 (320 g × 1 mg) and the AD-4212C-3000 (3200 g × 10 mg).
Please see the AD-4212C catalog for detailed specifications.

The shockproof digital load cell is based on a capacitive measurement principle where a non-contacting ceramic sensor is mounted inside the load cell body. As the load cell contains no moving parts and the sensor is not in contact with the load cell body, the load cell tolerates shocks, torsion, and very high overloads and sideloads. Therefore, the mechanical installation of the load cell can be done without expensive and complicated mounting kits and overload protection devices.
The electrical installation of the digital load cell is pure plug-and-play as the signal from the non-contacting sensor is directly converted, compensated and calibrated by a microprocessor to a digital load cell output in grams, kilograms, or Newton. Measurements and status codes are transmitted as RS485 data on a single wire coaxial cable (RG-58) which may be up to 100 meters long.
The technology and mechanical design of the Eilersen load cells is covered worldwide by a number of patents.

T95 LA (2 t - 20 t)
The T95 LA consists of both stainless steel and alloy steel load cells complete with toughened auto-phoretic finish loading assembly. Although the assembly is used in compression, the cell is mounted in a pendulum and operates in tension. This ensures that the load point is always maintained through the central axis of the cell, even when the assembly is subjected to considerable movement or misalignment.
The T95 LA load cell is most suitable for high accuracy applications and where movement or vibration are present, e.g. mixers, catalyst vessels, weighing platforms, axle weighers and weighbridges. The T95 LA load cell is hermetically sealed to IP68 and approved to OIML 3000 C3, optionally to EEx iA II CT6.

The Sherborne Sensors UNIWEIGH series load cell has been specifically developed for use electronic scales where the load may be placed at any random position on a loading platform.
Typical applications are in retail shop scales, industrial counting scales, pre-packing scales, batch weighing machines, money checkers, pharmaceuticals, medical and scientific instrumentation. Compression loads from the loading platform are applied directly enabling much simpler constructions without the requirement for levers, flexures or pivots; scale design and maintenance is therefore greatly simplified. The UNIWEIGH series load cell is particularly immune to eccentric loading, the load being commonly applied via a simple X or H frame whose loading points are at the corners of the load platform. The UNIWEIGH series load cells are available in two distinct sensitivities offering the customer considerably lower ranges of this device than were previously possible.
|
|
Application
A high price/performance ratio and robust design characterize the compression load cells even in the high measuring ranges.
Their small dimensions allow these load cells to be used for measuring static and dynamic compressive forces in restricted spaces. These load cells can be integrated easily thanks to their standardized output and threaded holes on bottom.
The model 8526 load cell has a sealed body, allowing it to be used even under dirty and harsh industrial conditions.
These sensors are used as measuring elements mainly in- device manufacture
- production lines
- measurement and control systems
- manufacture of fixtures and special machines
- geological applications.

Digital load cells on the basis of the strain gage technology provide new impetus for the areas of dynamic weighing, sorting, filling, and dosing. In addition to all relevant functions for standard weighing processes, the intelligent load cells also provide control functions for sorting, filling, and dosing processes. Using a RS 232 or RS 485 4-wire interface, all relevant data can be accepted as a filtered, scaled, and digitized output signal directly into the control system used. And that at a fast measuring rate of up to 600 measurements per second.

A force is applied and there is a flexion: there is a Wheatstone bridge with strain gauges that measure this mechanical flexion thence giving a proportional electrical signal.
